Rovena Elmazi holds the title “Doctor of Science” in Sports Management, after completing postgraduate studies at the National Academy of Sports “Vassil Levski”, Bulgaria. She has pursued a Master’s degree in “Public Law”, focusing on the study of Public Procurement Legislation in Albania, a comparative look at EU legislation and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana. Also, Rovena holds a Bachelor and Master degree at the Sports Academy “Vojo Kushi”.
Rovena has been part of the Lead Albania program, a program conceived based on the White House Fellows Program in the United States of America.
She has completed Leadership and Character in Uncertain Times program, organized by Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education, and Leadership Program, by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), Brussels and she received a Scholarship from the Sports Diplomacy Division of the U.S. Department of State and participate in the ‘Championship Principles’ training program.
In addition to her work as Political Advisor at the Minister of Education and Sports, where the focus is on the development policies of elite sports, school and university sports, as well as policies for the integration of children with disabilities in sports and not only, within of inclusion.
Rovena also has a long experience as a lecturer in the Management and Organization of Physical Activity, Recreation and Tourism, at the Department “Organization and Management” at the University of Sports of Tirana. She has conducted a series of scientific research based on her area of expertise in the field of Sports Organization and Management.
In addition to her academic experience, in which she has been the director of several projects, she is part of several qualification programs and has a long professional career as an elite athlete. Rovena is distinguished for its organization and engagement in activities of a voluntary nature for sports and the environment.
